The Complete List of ingredients for CitriSlim:

Potassium Citrate

Gamma Linolenic Acid (GLA) - GLA, an essential fatty acid, Omega--6, is a component of the cell membrane that increases permeability and flexibility of cell membranes and helps regulate water loss, thus helping to prevent dehydration and other visible signs of premature aging. It is also involved with the entire cardiovascular and endocrine system balance. Also essential in the production of eicosanoids throughout the body.

Creatine Monophosphate

Alpha-Ketogluterate

Vanadium (Vanadium Sulfate, Vanadium Pentoxide, Va - Element No. 23, At.Wt. 51. It has been reported that vanadium reduces cholesterol production in humans. Although strangely not yet considered essential in humans, it is known to be essential in animals as a micronutritional, yet another case wherein animal nutrition is far in advance of human nutritional understanding. Vanadium behaves in the body as a catalyst for activating enzymes that have to do with fat metabolism (vanadium is needed in ATP production) and certain nerve hormones called catecholamines. Vanadium is plentiful in certain foods such as seafood, soybeans, corn oil and many vegetables.

Magnesium (magnesium ascorbate, magnesium gluconat - A mineral that comes in many forms and abilities to assimilate. The presence of magnesium nutritionally helps metabolize calcium, Vitamin C and carbohydrates; nutritionally promotes healthy teeth, nerves and muscles; and energizes and fights against sadness, stress and unhappiness. Magnesium is excellent in nutritively helping many skin troubles, being a necessary electrolyte essential for all cell functions, from neural pathways acting in neuromuscular transmission, to being an important cofactor in cell metabolism, required for lipid/fat metabolism, thiamine utilization and enzyme reactions.Magnesium works with many of the B vitamins and is a necessary part of amino acid synthesis and general functioning as well. Perhaps its most important function is its involvement in Phosphate-transfer reaction and changes in energy states within the body.

Zinc (Zinc Ascorbate, Zinc Oxide) - This mineral is thought to be nutritionally essential for protein synthesis and normal brain functioning. It is an important nutrient for healing, sense of taste and the structuring of collagen, helping to prevent dry skin and stretch marks, and nutritionally promoting the body to heal blemish marks.Without enough zinc, a Vitamin A deficiency can occur even though the intake of that vitamin appears adequate. Zinc also helps prevent premature hair loss, brittle or spotted nails, and is thought to improve skin conditions in general.Quaintly, it is thought to aid in the relief for bad breath, and has been a "savior" for those who love garlic and onions but hate the breath that is subsequently imparted by these strong roots. As it has been said, "Take zinc -- don't stink!" Also see: Optizinc.

DHEA (Dehydroepiandtrosterone) - DHEA is a pro-hormone that produces other hormones and the most abundant natural steroid in the bloodstream, including estrogen complexes and testosterone. The body's natural DHEA production decreases dramatically with age; on average it's estimated that only around 5% of DHEA's original surpluses are found when we're 80 years old. Such decreases are now thought to be associated with the onset of many degenerative diseases. Additional supplementation of DHEA in some studies reveals that some aging can possibly be reversed, immune system functioning is apparently enhanced and healing proceeds more rapidly. Low dosages of DHEA (less than 20 mg daily) are generally safe and do not interfere or compete with hormonal production within the body. However, larger dosages of DHEA (200+ mg daily) have been associated with increases in facial hair growth in women and possible liver damage, and thus should be avoided. Thus, taking large dosages of DHEA alone as a solitary hormonal replacement strategy should not be practiced.

CoQ10 (Coenzyme Q10, Ubiquinone) - CoQ10 was only discovered in 1957 by Professor F.L. Crane and his associates at the University of Wisconsin, and soon thereafter Merck Laboratories discovered the chemical structure. CoQ10, or Ubiquinone, is a coenzyme which is essential to the body's production of energy in the form of ATP, providing energy at the cellular level. CoQ10, or 2,3-dimethoxy-5-methyl-6-decaprenyl-1,4-benzoquinone, is a lipid soluble compound that inhabits the inside walls of inner mitochondrial membranes where it functions as an integral part of electron transport of oxidative phosphorylation. CoQ10 is essential for production of aerobic cellular energy in the form of ATP. Research from leading medical institutions have demonstrated that with the addition of CoQ10 to the diet, serious illnesses can often be reversed and thereinafter prevented. It's now known that CoQ10 not only boosts energy levels and increases stamina and endurance, but also strengthens and protects the heart against cardiovascular disorders and heart disease/stroke (cardiac patients have lower levels of CoQ10 throughout the body than do healthy people, specifically showing deficiencies, of between 50-%75%, of CoQ10 within the heart itself), improves the effectiveness of the immune system, actually reverses periodontal disease (gum disease), normalizes high blood pressure, aids in weight loss, improves the therapeutic value of various drugs, as well as acts as a powerful antioxidant protecting the body against free radicals. It generally takes at least 8 weeks of daily supplementation of CoQ10 to reach peak levels within the body and blood supply. However, long-term oral supplementation with CoQ10 is needed for human chronic dilated cardiomyopathy, wherein CoQ10 use was associated with improvement in cardiac function and increased survival. Thus, the effects of CoQ10 are not generally immediate. The timing of first appearance benefits in controlled studies was between 3 and 6 months, which correlates well with the known coenzymatic functions of nutrients stimulating apoenzyme synthesis and incorporation before functions were biochemically manifested. In Japan, CoQ10 is approved for the treatment of congestive heart failure and cardiac ischemis, there being over 150 pharmaceutical preparations now available. For the best benefits of CoQ10, one should expect to be on the supplement for the rest of ones life, and too, the effectiveness of CoQ10 is enhanced with other anabolic metabolites, as can be found in V„xa formulas. CoQ10 is completely safe and considered a food supplement by the FDA.

Chromium (ChromeMate GTF, Chromium polynicotinate) - This is a very important mineral which works with vitamin B3 (niacinamide) in maintaining blood sugar levels. It is a true Glucose Tolerance Factor and has recently been given a US Patent because of this singular nutritional importance, plus two more because of its ability to lower cholesterol.Only one such Chromium product actually satisfies all of Dr. Mertz's laws to be established as a true GTF, and ChromeMate is that Chromium source. In such form, chromium is known to activate enzymes for carbohydrates, fat, and protein metabolism. Chromium is also thought to aid the body in improving its circulation for healthy skin and hair.

Hydroxycitric Acid-HCA (HCA, -HCA, CitriMax, HCA E) - HCA has shown to be effective in stopping fat from being produced within the Kreb's Cycle during carbohydrate/glucose metabolism. Excess carbohydrates are turned into fats which are then stored as body fat unless immediately used during exercise. CitriMax is a patented processed form of standardized (-)HCA which claims to contain the highest percentage of (-)HCA of any other product on the market.

Harpagophytum procumbens (Pedaliaceae, Devil's Cla) - This is yet another herb found to be uniquely effective as an aid against the hurt of joint and muscle discomfort and associated conditions. It appears to cleanse the body and stimulate the body's natural defenses. It is also known for its purgative properties and is taken in Africa to treat poor health of all sorts, including some rather serious third world health conditions. In these countries, its pulverized powdered root is often applied to open wounds. Recent German clinical studies suggest that the plant in fact does have some rather remarkable properties, actually comparable by some to the antiarthritic prescription drug phenylbutazone. And too, the plant has been found in analysis to naturally produce an effective family of antiinflammatory agents, namely, harpagoside and harpagide; additionally, harpagoside alone exhibits analgesic activity.
